Oh and here's an alternate Shenzo pic because I didn't know which to use!
I'm making this Carrd just to advertise my book (Sensational Soliciting aka SS) <333 because I love it.Summary: Shenzo, a man in his twenties, is a disturbed individual who sublimates his childhood trauma by indulging in horrific crimes and struggling with forbidden desires. His stalkerish psychologist coworker, Sho, is willing to keep any secret if it means Shenzo will fall for him. As Shenzo becomes obsessed with depravity and making a cannibalistic criminal out of Sho, it appears he is personally not as ruthless as he seems. As the story progresses, the writing becomes more incomprehensible to mimic mental illness (schizophrenic word salad basically).Chapter 7 compared to chapter 13
7: "My teeth engraved the date of his discontinued existence into the silky skin of his neck and clavicle."13: "The tonsure of pessimum optimized my optative, hallux fullage haptic for pallet."I have been writing stories since I was like... 8 years old, creating many characters along the way, but I'm def the most attached to Sho/Shenzo. I've been writing SS since I was 14 (I'm 21 now!). Various conflicts, scenes, and dialogues are based on real events from my life. SS grows along with me, in other words! It's a very personal project--a passion project. You can read (some of it) here: SSI'm actually on chapter 17 at the moment and I'm willing to give people access to chapters beyond those publicly posted if they really want to read them. 😴Feel free to discuss SS with me! It's the easiest way to both get to know me and to become my friend because it's the most important (non-person) thing in my life. It's my favorite subject to talk about--probably the only subject I could actually talk about for hours.I transcribe every difficult to understand sentence into regular English! I have lots and lots of transcriptions. Currently working on writing an "alternate version" of SS that replaces a lot of the weird words with regular words, + adds more context so that things are less ambiguous. In other words it's kind of like how a book will originally be written in a certain language but then get translated into English. Some things are lost in translation, and this is very evident to me as I change the words and such lol. I would recommend reading the og if you're interested, especially because I have many pages explaining all the lines. Why write like this? Well, to summarize it shortly, SS contains some every graphic content, especially in later chapters. And if I write in a way that can't really be understood, I can make things as graphic as possible without SEEMING graphic. It essentially lets me get away with writing whatever--like, I can write an extremely graphic torture scene without it being off-putting, because it can't be understood anyway. Not only that but it's fun to write like this. I like learning new words, and I learn many things by, you know, finding new words to use in SS. I apply terms I learn from classes as well, in order to memorize them for exams and such, because I'm actually dwelling on the information and using it somehow. So ironically it sort of helps me in school too. Occasionally I'll encounter a word in a class that I haven't heard in any other class, but that I already know from SS! I like that this writing style enables me to learn and is stimulating. Lastly, I have many weird thoughts and being hyper-specific with wording allows me to express concepts that otherwise cannot really be expressed. You could argue about whether much is expressed at all if the audience can't understand it--the message is not getting to the recipient--but that's kind of the point as well, I get to express whatever I want without any of it being comprehended. And it's impossible to comprehend, especially because I often leave out words entirely, or create outlandish metaphors that essentially cannot be dissected without being completely misunderstood/misinterpreted. haha. That's all I wanted to say and ummmm all hail Shenzo I guess.
